The Britannia inn is the only pub that is located in a desert in the U.K It is a renowned pub and restaurant serving fish & chips and other home-cooked food.
Set two minutes walk from the beach via a walkway opposite, this fantastic pub is in the heart of Dungeness estate, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and home to some extremely rare wildlife.
Working with both our regular and much value clients Shepherd Neame and with much input from the landlord Richard and his team we completely redesigned the pubs kitchen and supporting areas.
Our works included replacing the ancient walk-in cold room with a new energy-efficient model and setting up a new cook line comprising of heavy-duty Blue Seal cooking appliances.
Due to the proximity of the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch miniature railway, whose passengers often have as little as an hour for lunch between trains, it was decided that a decent pizza offering would complement the restaurant's traditional fish and chips lunch menu.
The more standard Blue Seal catering appliances ensured that during the offseason and evenings a more sophisticated menu could be offered.
The new kitchen layout has created a spacious kitchen with well-defined cooking, pizza, dishwasher and prep areas.
