More about this project

Cedarmore Housing Association Ltd (CHA) was formed in 1968 by a small group Baptist Churches in the area who felt the desire to assist the local elderly people finding it difficult to cope and remain fully independent in their existing home environment.

We were asked to modernise their existing satellite kitchen used for afternoon teas and when residents choose to eat in a secondary dining room.
The kitchen, whilst spotlessly clean, was an old domestic style and the organisation wanted to bring it up to current standards.
We felt that a traditional stainless steel commercial kitchen was not needed but that a domestic mdf style kitchen would not be durable enough so a powder coated steel kitchen seemed to be the best option.

We stripped out the old kitchen to find that a historic water leak had saturated the floor and walls. The job stopped immediately until a dehumidifier had reduce saturation levels to a safe level.
The walls received a new Upvc hygienic wall cladding and the floor a slip resistant safety vinyl.

After some rewiring and all plumbing was replaced the carcasses were position and the steel kitchen assembled.
Bespoke commercial stainless steel worktops and sinks were installed and appliances positioned to complete the job.
