More about this project

Right in the heart of Whitstable, just moments from the sea, The Royal Naval Reserve serves fine food, drink and a warm welcome to all.
It is one of Whitstable’s most inviting, homely pubs – loved by locals and visitors for its superb central location and down-to-earth, friendly atmosphere.

Working again with our much-valued customer Shepherd Neame our brief was to refurbish a galley style kitchen and provide a modern, hygienic kitchen from which a more varied and sophisticated menu could be offered.

Part of our brief was to redesign the aged extraction system to one that included noise and odour control measures as required by the local planning authority due to this being a listed building in a mixed residential area.

Once the extraction work was completed our installation team carried out gas and plumbing works in advance of installing a new Blue Seal cookline, a number of Gram fridges and stainless steel benches and sinks.
The end result, as can be seen in the photos below, shows a much improved commercial kitchen which will be more hygienic and easy to keep that way along with an extraction system that meets current regulatory standards.
