Located in Deal, Kent, Betteshanger Country Park is a popular outdoor attraction known for its family-friendly events and beautiful surroundings. From the Kent Wind Festival to the Easter Egg Trail, it’s a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike looking to relax and explore the great outdoors.

🛠️ Our Role in a Stunning New Venue

We were proud to work alongside Quinn Estates and other specialist contractors to bring this long-awaited venue to life. The building had existed for some time as an unfinished shell, but the vision was clear — a modern, stylish restaurant and wedding venue that complements the natural surroundings.

Our task: to design, build, and deliver a full commercial kitchen, plus a bespoke restaurant bar area to match the high standards of the venue.

⚡ A Fully Electric, Energy-Efficient Commercial Kitchen

The kitchen is designed as an electric-only space, a forward-thinking move aligned with sustainable energy practices. This allowed us to implement a full range of energy-efficient catering equipment and low-consumption utilities.

Key equipment and features included:

• Rational combi ovens – versatile, intelligent cooking

• Blue Seal appliances – durable, heavy-duty electric cooking equipment

• True Refrigeration – reliable, energy-efficient cold storage

• Walk-in cold room and refrigerated prep counters

• Custom-fabricated stainless steel benches and sinks

• UPVC hygienic wall cladding

• Slip-resistant vinyl safety flooring

• Commercial extraction and ventilation system

🧾 Kitchen Layout & Functional Design

Every aspect of the kitchen layout was carefully considered to promote efficient workflow and food safety compliance. We created clear, well-defined zones for:

• Food preparation

• Cooking

• Serving and plating

• Dishwashing and pot wash

• Dry and chilled storage

This structure ensures smooth service during busy periods and simplifies staff training and management.

🍹 Bespoke Bar Design & Installation

In addition to the kitchen, we were also tasked with the design and installation of the venue’s bar area, tailored to support both casual daytime dining and large-scale events such as weddings.
