🍸 Balance Bar – Stylish Commercial Kitchen Fit-Out for Charity-Focused Restaurant in New Romney, Kent
🌟 A Unique Hospitality Venture
Balance Bar, located on New Romney’s High Street, is far more than just a trendy place to eat and drink — it’s a charity-driven business that donates 100% of its profits to charitable causes, with an emphasis on brain tumour research and support organisations.
Set within a former bank, the venue has been luxuriously renovated, preserving several of its original architectural features while transforming the interior into a welcoming, modern space.
🏗️ Project Brief & Early Engagement
Kent Commercial Kitchen was brought on board early in 2021 to carry out the design and build of the commercial kitchen. With the kitchen partially visible to diners, the client requested a setup that would be both functional and visually appealing.
🛠️ Stage 1 Works – Stylish, Hygienic & Functional Infrastructure
During the early stages of the building’s refurbishment – and while awaiting a power connection from the electricity supplier – we completed Stage 1 of the kitchen works.
Key Installations in Stage 1:

Anthracite grey Bioclad hygienic wall cladding
– Antibacterial, durable, and visually striking -
Grey Altro Stronghold slip-resistant flooring
– Safe, stylish, and suitable for high-traffic commercial kitchens -
Wall-mounted extraction canopy

– In line with modern commercial ventilation and air quality standards
These installations gave the kitchen a modern, upscale aesthetic while maintaining all required hygiene and safety standards.
🔧 Stage 2 Works – Equipment Fit-Out
With the building infrastructure in place and power supplied, we returned for Stage 2, installing a carefully selected range of commercial catering equipment tailored to the restaurant’s menu and service model.
