The Ashford International Hotel approached us with a critical issue: their long-serving flight-type dishwasher had begun to fail regularly, leading to costly repairs and operational disruptions in their busy kitchen.

With the decision made to replace the unit with a special-order Winterhalter flight dishwasher, we stepped in to manage not only the equipment replacement but also the interim kitchen workflow and full refurbishment of the dishwasher room—all while maintaining the hotel’s daily service capacity.

Our Solution: Temporary Setup, Full Refurb, Seamless Install

To ensure the hotel could continue operating without downtime during the six-week lead time for the new machine, we implemented a multi-phase solution:

✅ Temporary Dishwasher Room Setup

• Supplied and installed a pass-through dishwasher on loan to the client at no extra cost

• Created a temporary washing area to keep service running smoothly during the transition period

• Isolated the existing dishwasher zone with a custom temporary plywood partition to protect the rest of the working kitchen, just a few feet away

✅ Room Refurbishment During Lead Time

• Fully stripped out the old dishwasher and surrounding fixtures

• Installed hygienic UPVC wall cladding for durability and easy cleaning

• Fitted Altro slip-resistant safety flooring, ideal for wet, high-traffic kitchen environments

• Added a suspended ceiling for improved lighting and aesthetics

• Carried out a full electrical rewire and plumbing upgrade in preparation for the new unit

✅ Final Installation of Winterhalter Flight Dishwasher

• Once the new German-made dishwasher was delivered, our team installed it over a two-day period

• Supplied and fitted new stainless steel inlet and outlet tabling to complete the washroom flow

• Provided on-site staff training to ensure correct and efficient operation of the new equipment
