More about this project
Lord Nelson dates back to 1805, and care has been taken to ensure that the work retains the building’s historic features and character, while introducing a stylish, contemporary feel.
Working with our much-valued and regular customer Shepherd Neame we carried out the design and build of a trade kitchen.
It is always great to see a ‘mothballed’ pub come back to life and this one has special memories for some of our team who live locally.
For this build, the main contractor working for the brewery carried out the formation of the kitchen and added wall cladding and slip-resistant flooring.
We designed and built the extraction canopy and external ductwork to approved plans.
Once the extraction canopy was in place the commercial appliance installers created a gas manifold then installed heavy-duty Blue Seal cooking equipment and Hoshizaki energy-efficient refrigerators,
We also installed a Maidaid dishwasher in the kitchen, a Maidaid glasswasher in the bar and a large ice machine in the cellar.
Opening on 14th Feb 2020 this once popular riverside pub with a new shopping area to its front is sure to do well and we wish landlords Nigel & Chris, and their team every success.
