A well established small independent produce store and cafe based in Uckfield High Street aiming to provide great, fresh food, locally sourced wherever possible and always full of flavour!

Hartfield’s were in need of more space so took on the building next door with the aim of doubling the customer seating area and the busy, cramped and aging kitchen.
Our brief was to design and build a new kitchen in the now doubled in size space available whilst bringing the kitchen up to date with easy to clean surfaces and some new appliances.

Once the ‘knock through’ had been created the work could begin.
We extended the existing extraction canopy to accommodate the stacked pair of Rational combi ovens that were to be installed.
The complete room, old and new sides received Bioclad Upvc wall cladding and we laid Altro stronghold slip-resistant flooring for maximum safety and hygiene. The room was completed with a wipe-clean suspended ceiling and LED lighting.

Now the structure of the kitchen was complete we were able to install a mixture of existing appliances and new to complete the workspace.
The completed kitchen is split into a number of quite distinct zones – Storage – Preparation – Cooking – Servery and Dishwashing.

Alongside the kitchen refurb front of the house was also receiving a major refit to which we supplied new refrigerated servery areas.
