The Downs View guest house is large property in Kennington Ashford recently purchased by The Amber Foundation for use as a residential hostel for upto 26 residents.
The foundation helps homeless and unemployed young people aged 16 to 30 get back on their feet, providing 24/7 support.

We were contracted to design and build a commercial kitchen suitable for small scale residential cooking for home style meals.
The existing domestic kitchen was not suitable and certainly not large enough so the decision to knock through into an adjacent extetion breakfast area was taken.

Floor levels were uneven between rooms so some leveling had to take place before laytexing and Altro stronghold slip resistant flooring vinyl was added.
Walls received Bioclad Upvc anti bacterial cladding and a suspended ceiling grid with flat panel LED lighting added to complete the structure of a bright and easy to keep clean kitchen.

As small number of catering appliances were needed so a Blue Seal oven, Maidaid dishwasher and True refrigeration were supplied and installed.

We also carried out all electrical and plumbing works within the kitchen area and extensive plumbing and central heating upgrades within the buildings, all works carried out by our own team using no subcontractors.
