More about this project

🔥 Korean Cowgirl Smokehouse – Camden Commercial Kitchen Refurbishment

🍖 A Bold Fusion of Texas & Korean Cuisine

The Korean Cowgirl Smokehouse Restaurant brings a truly unique dining experience to Camden, combining the deep flavours of slow-smoked Texas BBQ with the crisp, spicy appeal of Asian street food.

Famous for their double-fried wings and boneless bites and meat smoked “low and slow” over real wood — with no shortcuts — this restaurant offers bold dishes packed with flavour and attitude.

🤝 Long-Term Client Collaboration

Having supported Korean Cowgirl’s two successful Kent locations for many years with catering equipment supply and maintenance, we were delighted to be selected to deliver a full Commercial Kitchen Design & Build for their new Camden site.

🏗️ Project Scope

The venue had previously operated as a restaurant but had suffered from neglect, especially in the main theatre kitchen and two back-of-house prep and dishwashing areas.

Our brief included:

  • Refurbishing the open-plan theatre kitchen

  • Renovating rear preparation and dishwash areas

  • Improving hygiene, workflow, and visual presentation

🧱 Strip-Out & Kitchen Preparation

Our fit-out team temporarily relocated to Camden to ensure efficient project delivery. The refurbishment began with a full strip-out of all existing:

  • Wall coverings

  • Flooring materials

  • Obsolete kitchen equipment

We then installed:

  • Slip-resistant safety flooring throughout the kitchen and prep areas

  • Hygienic UPVC wall cladding to ensure easy cleaning and full compliance with environmental health regulations

🛠️ Equipment Supply & Installation

With the kitchen infrastructure renewed, we supplied and installed a complete suite of professional kitchen equipment, tailored to the restaurant’s menu and cooking style.

Equipment included:

  • Blue Seal and Rational cooking appliances

  • True and Foster refrigeration systems

  • Hatco hot holding units

  • Bespoke stainless steel benches and sinks

  • Commercial glasswashers and dishwashers

  • Bar refrigeration and beverage machines

❄️ Emergency Cold Room Replacement

Late in the project, we discovered that the existing cold room condensing unit had failed and was beyond economic repair. Working quickly to avoid delays:

  • We sourced a replacement unit at short notice

  • Our refrigeration engineers removed the faulty system and installed the new unit with no disruption to the project timeline

✅ A Smooth Refit, Delivered on Time & Budget

Thanks to our long-standing relationship with the Korean Cowgirl team — and their clear vision for the site — this Camden refit was a smooth, enjoyable collaboration. The project was completed on time and within budget, ready for launch.

We’re proud to support their continued success and look forward to seeing their Camden restaurant thrive as much as their Kent sites have.
