Aylesford Community Centre is a busy multi-purpose space used by many groups in the Maidstone and Aylesford area.
Their aging kitchen needed an upgrade to offer improved facilities for those renting the main hall for events that involved the need for a kitchen.

It needed to be simple and uncluttered and most importantly easy to keep clean, 

After a lengthy grant application process involving the local council and the centre trustees we were awarded the project.

A straightforward works program for this project involved upgrading the small extraction system to an up to date and compliant interlocked ventilation with extract and passive make up air provided via a ductwork to the flat roof.
All walls received a covering of Bioclad Upvc hygienic cladding and the old tiled floor was laytexed and covered with Altro Stronghold 30 for a highly slip-resistant and hard-wearing surface.

A wipe-clean suspended ceiling was installed along with LED flat panel lights to complete this new bright and hygienic space before a small number of catering appliances were installed.
