More about this project

There has been a farm shop at Little Crockshard Farm run by the Gibson family since 1970 when they used to sell just apples and pears.

We were involved in the design and build of their restaurant kitchen when the new farm shop was built in 2010 and the Gibson’s have been a valued customer ever since so we were delighted to be asked to work on their latest expansion which added a deli bakery, drinks area and supporting kitchen.

The purpose of this kitchen was to support the deli and bakery with home-cooked goods, pies and loaves of bread some of which would be served in the cafe restaurant at the opposite end of the building.

We first installed a 5m extraction canopy for their electric cooking area, then added Bioclad Upvc hygienic wall cladding to the already prepared walls.
Next, we laid Altro Stronghold 30 slip resistant safety flooring and a wipe-clean suspended ceiling system with LED flat panel lights.

The catering equipment included a Rational 10 grid combi oven, a Locher infrared electric hob and a Williams blast chiller surrounded by plenty of work surfaces and a dedicated wash-up area that centered upon a Maidaid Utensil washer, ideal for the larger pans that the bakery would be using.

Gibsons is now a well-established farm shop offering a wide range of local foods with a very busy cafe restaurant at its heart.
We wish Andrew and his team continued success and thank them for their ongoing custom.
