The major refurbishment of the Grade II Listed Plumstead Library is seeing improvement works to the building as well as the demolition of the 1930s rear extension; this will enable a modern, multi-use flexible community facility.

Part of a £16M refurbishment carried out by the main contractor Osbourne was the new cafe area in the centre of the ground floor area.

Installation of the stainless steel framework for the serving counter was carried out by us with the addition of a white Corian worktop.
We installed a Victor manufacturing hot servery plate and a refrigerated self-service multideck.

The back stainless counter designed and installed by us houses Hoshizaki refrigerated units and provides a working area for the Gaggia coffee machine and other hot and cold food and drink appliances.

In the back area away from sight we supplied an installed a preparation sink, more refrigerators and freezers and a dishwasher and dry storage area.

The end result handed over mid-January 2020 is a modern cafe area offering a small menu of hot and cold items.
