πΊ The Rose in June β Historic Pub Kitchen Refurbishment
ποΈ Project Overview β Updating a Local Pub
The Rose in June is a 19th-century pub, so when the kitchen needed an upgrade, the owners asked us to help. Therefore, we designed and built a new trade kitchen that works well for staff while keeping the pubβs historic charm. In addition, we improved hygiene, workflow, and safety, which benefits both staff and guests. As a result, the pub can serve high-quality meals more efficiently. Furthermore, these changes ensure the kitchen will remain reliable for years to come.
π Project Scope β Full Kitchen Design & Build
Our task was to design and install a complete trade kitchen in a small space. Consequently, we carefully planned the layout and equipment. Moreover, we made sure the kitchen met safety and hygiene standards. In addition, we added durable finishes and reliable appliances, which ensures long-term use. Therefore, the kitchen is both practical and compliant with regulations. Also, these upgrades allow staff to work faster and more comfortably.
π οΈ Early Planning & Local Authority Approval
First, we helped secure planning permission for the kitchenβs extraction system. At the same time, we carried out a noise survey to address concerns from nearby residents. Next, we produced extraction designs and building elevations to meet local rules. In addition, we included noise and odour control so the kitchen would not disturb neighbours. Consequently, the project could start on time. Meanwhile, we prepared materials and appliance lists to avoid delays during installation. Therefore, the site work proceeded smoothly and efficiently.
π³ Trade Kitchen Design & Build
Custom Extraction & Ductwork
We installed a custom extraction canopy and ductwork, which removes smoke, steam, and odours. As a result, staff now work in a comfortable and safe environment. Moreover, kitchen workflows have improved significantly. Therefore, service is faster, and the kitchen operates more efficiently.
Hygienic Wall Cladding
Next, we added uPVC cladding to the walls for easy cleaning. In addition, stainless steel cladding under the extraction canopy meets health and safety rules. Consequently, the kitchen is hygienic and easy to maintain. Furthermore, staff can focus on cooking rather than cleaning.
Plumbing & Appliances
Then, we installed plumbing and commercial appliances. Therefore, the kitchen runs efficiently for daily service. In addition, the layout allows staff to work quickly and safely. As a result, the kitchen is reliable and supports busy service periods. Moreover, the new setup reduces downtime and improves overall productivity.
π Outcome β A Small Kitchen with Big Impact
The kitchen was completed on time. Consequently, staff can work faster and more safely. In addition, hygiene and safety standards are higher. Furthermore, the combination of modern features and historic charm ensures the pub remains a local favourite. Therefore, the refurbishment improves both function and atmosphere. Moreover, guests can now enjoy a better dining experience.
