The Dover Castle Inn is a 17th-century coaching inn, built around 1640, once owned by the Lord of The Manor and sold to Shepherd and Neame in the 1700s.
It had been without a tenant for some time but following an extensive refurbishment from the brewery and new experienced landlord is now open for a wide range of traditional European dishes in its spacious restaurant.
Our brief was to remove the old appliances, some of which went to new homes but most were for disposal. We then redesigned the kitchen to improve its workflows and provided a range of new capable equipment able to cater for the 100+ covers over the three restaurant areas.
We installed a cookline of robust Blue Seal equipment along with new cabinet refrigeration and the addition of a walk-in cold room to room at the rear of the kitchen which allowed for an increase in the size of a separate dedicated dishwashing and preparation room.
This busy pub is now receiving excellent trip advisor reviews for both good food and excellent service and having tried it ourselves we agree!
