Who we are
One team, one accountability chain.
Specifically, Kent Commercial Kitchens designs, supplies, fabricates and installs full commercial kitchens across Kent and the South East. Indeed, we are the design and install arm of Advantage Catering Equipment Ltd, trading for over 21 years from our Folkestone HQ.
However, most specialists hand off — design to one firm, fabrication to another, install to a third. We don't. CAD design, equipment specification, extraction, fabrication, fit-out, install and commissioning are delivered by one directly-employed team, accountable to one of our two directors from first survey to handover.
Additionally, equipment is specified and supplied direct through Advantage. Additionally, ongoing service and maintenance continue with our sister team at Catering Equipment Repair. Design, supply and service under one roof.

Furthermore, every KCK project is led personally by one of our two directors — never handed to an account manager. Similarly, both stay involved across the full project and personally specify every kitchen we install.
Nick Plaice
Specifically, leads the technical and build side — extraction and ventilation design, fabrication, site delivery and the in-house trades. The person who makes sure the kitchen on the drawing is the kitchen that gets built.
Simon Critchett
Furthermore, principal designer and project lead — kitchen design, equipment specification and project management. On site personally for every install, from first survey to final handover.

Importantly, certified to ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 45001 (occupational health & safety) — the only Kent commercial kitchen design-and-install firm certified to all three.
CEDA member
Moreover, we are a member of the Catering Equipment Distributors Association via Advantage Catering Equipment — the industry body for foodservice design and supply specialists, with member standards covering competence, conduct and customer protection.
F-Gas certified
Also, certified for the handling of fluorinated refrigerant gases — covering refrigeration and cold room work on every kitchen we build, not just gas-led installs.
CFSP-accredited directors
In addition, both directors hold the Certified Food Service Professional accreditation — the recognised mark of competence for commercial kitchen design, held personally rather than as a company badge.
