Hygienic wall cladding · Kent and the South East
Hygienic wall cladding for commercial kitchens in Kent
UPVC hygienic wall cladding installed in-house. Food-safe, wipe-clean and EHO-compliant. Fitted as part of the full kitchen fit-out or as a standalone refit of an existing kitchen.
Why Kent Commercial Kitchens
Cladding fitted right, in the right order
Installed in-house - not subcontracted
Our own team fits the cladding. It is sequenced correctly within the build programme - after first-fix services, before equipment goes against the walls. No separate cladding contractor to coordinate, no programme gap between the trades either side of it.
Fitted to EHO requirements as standard
Coved skirting, sealed joints and no exposed fixings where food contamination can occur. Fitted to the standard an environmental health officer expects on inspection - not to the minimum a budget installation allows.
Sequenced within the wider fit-out
Cladding goes in at the right point in the programme - after gas, electrical and plumbing first fix, before fabrication is set in position against the walls. Getting the sequence right is what produces a clean, properly finished result.
Full project or standalone refit
We fit cladding as part of a full design-and-build project or as a standalone refit. If you need to reclad an existing kitchen to bring it up to EHO spec, we can survey, specify and install without needing to take on the whole kitchen.
What's included
The full cladding package
UPVC hygienic cladding panels
Jemiclad and equivalent UPVC hygienic wall cladding panels. Food-safe, wipe-clean and available in a range of colours and surface finishes to suit the kitchen environment.
Coved skirting
Hygienic coved skirting at all floor-wall junctions to eliminate dirt traps. Installed to EHO standards as standard on every project.
Splash backs and full-height cladding
Full-height cladding to cooking and preparation areas. Panels cut to suit service penetrations, extraction canopies and equipment positions.
Sealed joints and trims
All joints, internal and external corners sealed with food-safe sealant. Trims fitted to exposed edges and around all service penetrations through the cladding.
Wet room and wash areas
Cladding to dishwash, pot wash and wet prep areas. Specified for high-humidity environments and the frequency of cleaning found in a commercial kitchen.
Refit and overlay
Existing tiled or painted surfaces assessed and clad over where structural condition allows. No unnecessary building work or tile removal where an overlay solution is suitable.

How it works
From survey to finished and signed off
Survey
Walls surveyed for condition, surface preparation requirements and service positions. Cladding specification and panel layout agreed before any materials are ordered.
Preparation
Walls cleaned, primed or prepared as required. First-fix services confirmed complete before cladding starts - no cladding over unfinished service routes.
Installation
Panels cut and fitted, coving installed at all floor-wall junctions, joints and service penetrations sealed. Fitted in sequence with the wider fit-out programme.
Inspection
Finished cladding inspected against the specification. Any remedials completed before fabrication or equipment is set in position against the walls.
