Care homes, nursing homes and healthcare facilities across Kent — refurbishments and new installations delivered around residents and live operations, with zero service disruption.
Why Kent Commercial Kitchens
What healthcare operators need from a kitchen contractor
Live-environment working around residents
At Fairby Grange in Dartford we refurbished a working care home kitchen around daily mealtimes — no service downtime, no disruption to residents' routines. Live healthcare environments require a different way of working: phased sequencing, constant communication with staff, and a team that understands the consequences of getting it wrong.
Gas to induction conversions
Many care homes are moving away from gas for safety, energy efficiency and CQC compliance reasons. We've delivered gas-to-induction conversions in live care settings — specifying the right electric equipment, managing the electrical infrastructure upgrade, and commissioning in a way that keeps the kitchen running throughout.
ISO 45001 health and safety accreditation
Working in occupied healthcare buildings requires contractors who take health and safety seriously at an institutional level. We hold ISO 45001 — occupational health and safety management — alongside ISO 9001 and 14001. The credentials that care home groups, NHS trusts and housing associations need to see before appointing a contractor.
HACCP-compliant design for care catering
Care home kitchens serve vulnerable residents with specific dietary requirements. We design with allergen segregation, HACCP workflow, raw/ready separation and CQC hygiene standards front of mind — not as an afterthought once the layout is already fixed.

"I just wanted to say how lovely your gang is. They worked extremely hard, even when there were quite a few in the kitchen and it was fairly warm, they got on with it without any problems. I like to give credit where it's due, and your chaps deserve it."
