Why Kent Commercial Kitchens

What schools need from a kitchen contractor

Summer holiday delivery — programme-led from the start School kitchens have one delivery window: the summer holidays. Miss it and you're looking at a year's delay, emergency catering costs and a headteacher who won't use you again. We build programmes around the school calendar from the first site survey, and we resource to hold them. EKC Group and Park Way Primary both opened on time.
High-volume kitchen design for school catering School kitchens serve hundreds of covers in a tight lunchtime window. Layout, workflow and equipment choice are critical — bulk cooking, regeneration, servery flow, dishwash throughput. We design for production volume and HACCP compliance, not just EHO sign-off.
ISO 45001 health and safety accreditation Working on a live school site requires contractors who take health and safety seriously. We hold ISO 45001 — the occupational health and safety management standard — alongside ISO 9001 and 14001. The only Kent commercial kitchen design-and-install firm certified to all three. Required by many LA and academy trust procurement frameworks.
EKC Group — multi-site FE college delivery EKC Group is one of Kent's largest further education providers. Delivering across multiple college sites requires co-ordination, consistency and a contractor that doesn't drop the ball when work scales. We're on the logo strip for a reason.

"I wanted to write to thank you for the excellent service you have provided in the re-fit of our school kitchen. During the re-fit, the work was carried out to a high standard and the area surrounding the kitchen was also kept very clean. The finished kitchen met our high expectations and our Kitchen Team has found the new layout and equipment supplied supports them exceptionally well on a daily basis."
