The brief

A fully compliant commercial kitchen for a new-build community facility

Additionally, The existing community centre building had reached the end of its useful life and was replaced with a new purpose-built facility. Furthermore, KCK were appointed alongside the main contractor to design and install a fully compliant commercial kitchen capable of serving the varied requirements of a busy multi-use community centre — events, regular hire, café service and community programmes.

Moreover, We were involved from early design stage, working closely with the main contractor to phase the kitchen installation around the wider build programme. Also, Five weeks on site, all in-house.

Community centre kitchen installation complete in 5 weeks

Extraction and surfaces

Specifically, extraction canopy installed above the cooking suite — compliant ventilation for a public-facing commercial kitchen environment. In particular, bioclad UPVC hygienic wall cladding throughout — easy to clean, food-safe and durable for the varied use demands of a community centre kitchen. Also, bespoke stainless steel work benches and sinks fabricated and installed throughout.

Cooking and refrigeration

Additionally, rational combi oven for flexible batch cooking suited to events and regular service. In particular, blue Seal cooking appliances across the main cookline. Also, foster refrigeration units for cold storage. Therefore, servery hatch installed for efficient food service from kitchen to hall.

Café servery, beverage and warewashing

Furthermore, café servery counter for front-of-house service. In particular, marco beverage machines and Instanta equipment for event and café service. Also, classeq dishwasher and wash-up area for compliant warewashing throughput during events and high-use periods.
