Police custody kitchen installation: kitchen built to custody suite specification
Additionally, A custody suite kitchen is a different brief to a commercial catering environment. Furthermore, The units, finishes and fittings need to meet specific security and hygiene requirements — robust, tamper-resistant, colour-coded for identification, and straightforward to clean and maintain in a controlled environment.
Moreover, Hampshire Police appointed us to design and install a bespoke kitchen facility within their custody suite. Also, The brief was for fabricated wall and base units in a specific colour specification, twin sinks, a full prep run and all associated electrical and plumbing works — all delivered within a 2-week window with minimum disruption to the custody suite operation.
What we did
Bespoke fabrication to custody specification
Colour-coded fabricated units
Specifically, wall and base cabinet units fabricated and installed to the colour specification required for the custody environment — blue laminate finish for clear identification and visual management. In particular, units built to a robust specification suited to a high-use, security-managed environment. Also, all fabrication carried out in-house at our Folkestone workshop prior to installation.
Twin sinks and prep run
Additionally, twin stainless steel sink unit installed with full plumbing — hot and cold supply, drainage and overflow to custody suite standards. In particular, continuous prep run along the wall providing a clean, uninterrupted working surface. Also, corner sink configuration to maximise usable bench space within the footprint. Therefore, all surfaces specified for durability and ease of cleaning.
Electrical and plumbing works
Furthermore, all electrical and plumbing works carried out by our in-house team — supply connections, drainage runs and appliance connections. In particular, coordinated with the custody suite's operational requirements to keep disruption to a minimum throughout the 2-week installation programme.
