    More about this project

This busy Margate restaurant already had a fantastic reputation in the town with its excellent location overlooking the sands.

Our clients Simon and Nadine wanted to change the concept and look of the main restaurant area to give an open theatre kitchen and a more casual bench and stool dining area near to the kitchen.

The existing cooking area was a galley style kitchen, very cramped with no room for the major changes that they had in mind.

To provide the extra space needed we took down the old bar area wall that backed onto the kitchen and moved the bar to an underused soft furnished bar area.
We built two new bar area carcasses at our Folkestone workshop the transported them to Margate where they were tiled and received a zinc worktop,

The kitchen and the new prep and servery area created from the old bar had Altro safety flooring added and a mixture of tiled and Upvc wall cladding applied.
A new extraction canopy was installed covering the full width of the cooking and dishwashing areas.
This was followed by the installation of an energy-efficient Control Induction cooking suite to complete the new theatre kitchen.

We carried out all elements of this complex 5-week refit in-house with our own team members, no subcontractors were used.
This included liaising with UK Power networks to have the site electrical supply upgraded which involved street works by them.

The end result is a job that we are particularly proud of, a delighted client and a stunning looking kitchen and new bar area that has resulted in increased footfall and very positive customer reviews.
