Suspended ceilings · Kent and the South East Suspended ceilings for commercial kitchens in Kent These suspended ceilings for commercial kitchens in Kent integrate extract ductwork and lighting as one system. Specifically, each system is wipe-clean, installed in-house as part of the full kitchen fit-out, with access panels positioned from the outset.
Why Kent Commercial Kitchens

Ceilings that work with the rest of the kitchen

Integrated with extraction - not fitted around it Specifically, because we design and install the extraction, the ceiling grid is planned around the duct runs, access panel requirements and canopy positions from the start. Not retrofitted around a ductwork installation we had no part in designing.
Installed in-house - sequenced correctly Furthermore, our own team installs the suspended ceiling as part of the wider fit-out. It goes in after extraction is in place and before lighting is connected. One team, one programme, no separate ceiling contractor to coordinate or wait for.
Access panels positioned correctly from the design stage Additionally, maintenance access to extraction ductwork, gas valves, electrical distribution and plumbing is planned into the ceiling layout before installation begins. Not added as an afterthought when someone realises they cannot reach something after handover.
Wipe-clean, food-safe finishes Moreover, ceiling tiles specified for commercial kitchen environments - smooth, wipe-clean finishes that meet food-safe requirements and withstand the cleaning regimes a working kitchen demands, including steam and chemical cleaning.
What's included

The full ceiling package

Suspended ceiling grid Metal grid systems designed to the kitchen layout. Coordinated with duct runs, lighting positions, extraction canopies and sprinkler heads where applicable.
Wipe-clean ceiling tiles Food-safe, wipe-clean ceiling tiles specified for commercial kitchen environments. Available in standard and hygienic finishes to suit the kitchen type and cleaning regime.
Access panels Maintenance access panels positioned above gas valves, electrical distribution, plumbing connections and extraction ductwork. Planned into the ceiling layout at design stage.
Lighting integration Ceiling grid designed around the lighting layout. Recessed downlighter positions confirmed before the grid goes up to avoid cutting and patching after installation.
Extraction canopy integration Ceiling grid designed around extraction canopy positions. Clean, flush finish at the canopy perimeter with no exposed ductwork visible below ceiling level.
Wet and high-humidity areas Moisture-resistant tiles and grid specified for dishwash and pot wash areas where humidity and condensation demand a more robust product than standard kitchen specification.

How it works

From design coordination to finished ceiling

Design coordination First, the ceiling grid is planned around duct runs, lighting positions, access panel requirements and canopy perimeters. Coordinated with the extraction design before a single fixing goes in.
Above-void first fix Then, ductwork and electrical first fix are completed above the ceiling void. Access panel positions confirmed and marked before the grid installation begins.
Grid and tile installation Next, the grid is hung and levelled, tiles are fitted, access panels installed. Lighting recesses are cut and positioned to the confirmed lighting layout before tiles go in.
Inspection Finally, the finished ceiling is inspected for level, tile fit and access panel operation. The extraction canopy perimeter is checked for a clean, flush finish before handover.
